The room for the baby's stuff...

I can't quite call it the baby's room, becuase I doubt it will do much sleeping there. We plan to have this one in our room with us until our adopted child arrives... But, I have had a blast this week organizing and making it cute :o) It was the last room in the apartment to be settled, so it feels nice to have the whole house set now! We will put the crib together when we get back in Aug. Maybe the baby will take naps there :o)

We've been in our new place about 6 weeks now and things are really looking good! We've painting in the living areas and bedroom and made new curtains for those places as well. It's been a fun project and really our first time decorating a new house together!

Five month preggo picture! (getting bigger)

God's Surprises!

Well, it seems our prayers for a baby have been answered, but not in the way we expected! The day after Christmas we found out that we were pregnant! So we are having a baby early Sept! Unfortunatllly this means that the adoption agency here will postpone our adoption until sometime next year. They want to give us time to adjust to the new baby. We are super bummed about that, and still look forward to adopting in the near future. The pregnancy was really rough for the first few months. Emily was really sick and also had quite a bit of bleeding. Things were always good at check-ups though and now at 21 weeks everything seems to be normal and stable! We are really excited about the addition to our family. Your prayers are appreciated!

preparing for Baby

My mom and I had so much fun making this frog quilt for the baby! It turned out so cute, better than I expected, considering I was the one doing the sewing. My first quilt, with lots of help!

These wonderful ladies threw me a great baby shower. It was so much fun and just perfect for me, had an international feel and great friends.

Kate gave me this beautiful outfit, so cute! I can't wait to use it.
